MEASURING ZONE SIZES & RESULT: SEMEN SAMPLE INVESTIGATION

• Following incubation, the zones are measured sizes to the nearest millimeter using a ruler or caliper; included the diameter of the disk in the measurement.
• While measuring zone diameters, always rounded up to the next millimeter.
• All measurements are made with the unaided eye while viewing the back of the petri dish.


• Recorded the zone size on the recording sheet.

RESULT: SEMEN SAMPLE INVESTIGATION
Ø In this pilot study, we performed semen analysis and microbiological investigation for 58 male subjects (mean Age = 33), who comes for ART procedure.
Ø The semen sample investigation suggested the semen sample infected with U. Urealyticum along with other organisms as affected almost all the human semen parameters. only a few semen parameter affect In case of the semen sample affected with other organism alone and sample had no infection,. This study reveals the significant of U. urealyticum To affect semen parameter and further leading to infertility.
Ø It is a common procedure in most of the infertility clinics and other phathological labs to asses the growth for 48 hours. So it is recommended from this study to check for U. Urealyticum with in 48 to 72 hours. U. urealyticum is a significant pathogen may lead to severe seminal defects and cause male infertility.
